June 25th 

 

old fool

I am

getting inked

without

a second thought

of consequences

that might flow

that might be

less than fun

infection, say

or sepsis

worse

nurse!

what are these

red spots

dotting up

my paper skin

they don’t look

funky

they look scary

and not like a

skull and crossbones

might be

pirate ship or

dagger maybe

they mean a trip

to casualty

and a course

of big fat
