today

well, not today

day before yesterday

on his birthday

New Year’s Day

of course he did

that would be

his way

to make it neat

complete

and leave us

tearful

incomplete

without him

I wrote some words

about it

on the socials

but it didn’t make it any easier

to swallow

I’m still wallowing

in grief

another friend

another chapter

another slice of life

another Capricorn

another lover

good at kissing

gone

but not gone
