CURFEW 9

DAY 9 – Aug 11 decided lack of zip

today

sometime the leaden wave

of stasis

is too hard to crest

almost bereft

of simple human contact

spirits fade away

and those sad bootstraps

slip out

from our faltering grasp

but hey!

one more day

one more day

that blossom hint of spring

is in the air

and we’re still here

begone despair.
