thank you, Jesus

thank you, lord

for giving us

this break

forgiving our mistakes

with chocolate

chocolate and more chocolate

and 5 games of football

and stabbings in Prahran

and all those wars on television

and nearly an election

and all this crazy weather

25 degrees in April

no longer flood

but drought

if ever there was

doubt

that you are

in control, lord

now’s the time

to just say no

to politely

but firmly

point this out.
