EOFY

sounds like…

toffee

but there’s nothing

sweet

about this time of year

those numbers

tell the tale

and it’s a sorry one

in cold hard naked

facts and figures

is shouting

from the rooftops

dollars flooding out

payments trickling in

barely enough

to keep a girl

afloat

worthless

down to the last

groat

and tittle

it were ever so

make a little go

a long long way

from pay day

to pay day

hand to mouth
