From around episode 127 onwards some of the women are chosen to be involved in a work scheme in a factory. Margo is chosen and uses this opportunity to continue her gambling profits on the outside and get some of the factory workers involved. The factory's book keeper Kay White is persuaded into running up huge debts and is sent to Wentworth as a prisoner when she is found guilty of embezzling money in an effort to pay off her debts. Margo, of course, is still out of pocket, so tries to force Kay into paying up by adding broken glass to her food. It only causes a bloody mouth and Kay is later killed by another inmate.
Margo and her boyfriend later take part in a payroll robbery but it goes terribly wrong and her boyfriend Wayne is killed by the police. She is sentenced to 10 years for the robbery and returns to Wentworth again but this time decides that she'll be Top Dog, in Bea's absence. It doesn't last very long and Bea takes over again as soon as she returns in episode 200. She is later sent to isolation and makes a re-appearance some time later during Sandy Edwards' riot (episode 247).
We don't see Margo again until she is on the run from Barnhurst prison where she has been transferred to. She hides out at Driscoll House (episode 309), much to the dismay of Judy Bryant, who only agrees to hide her for a short time until she decides what to do. While Meg Morris is visiting the house, she notices that Margo is trying to steal her car outside - she gets away and in the process knocks over a man who later dies.
Heavily involved in the prison fire of episodes 326 and 327, Margo causes Wentworth to burn down as she sets fire to a storage room which is full of turpentine. Although she doesn't know this at the time, it creates the wrong kind of fire - Bea only wanted a small fire to be used as a diversion.
Although Margo makes another appearance later in episodes 442 to 448, she is transferred to Blackmoor prison not long after.
