Prisoner/Cell-Block H

On Saturday, May 10th I will be at the Harcourt Hotel in Dublin for one appearance only. "Thirty years or so since Prisoner/Cell Block H went to air - but who?s counting ?

Seventeen years since I had an opportunity to meet up with all the loyal, diehard, UK fans of the show. Join me for lunch and a glass of wine - or two - and interrogate me on any aspect of the show, take a few snaps and see for yourself how old Margo has become !

Looking forward to seeing you all in Dublin?s fair city in May 2008.

PRISONER (expand)

MARGO GAFFNEY
Played by Jane Clifton
Margo first appears in Prisoner as a background inmate during episode 92 but her proper appearance is as prison bookie in episode 123.

From around episode 127 onwards some of the women are chosen to be involved in a work scheme in a factory. Margo is chosen and uses this opportunity to continue her gambling profits on the outside and get some of the factory workers involved. The factory's book keeper Kay White is persuaded into running up huge debts and is sent to Wentworth as a prisoner when she is found guilty of embezzling money in an effort to pay off her debts. Margo, of course, is still out of pocket, so tries to force Kay into paying up by adding broken glass to her food. It only causes a bloody mouth and Kay is later killed by another inmate.
